March 2011
  • Dan + Amanda Tortora's Red River Listen to the Music SH ('Lyric') won back to back Best of Winners stakes at the Monticello New York Kennel Club and Saw Mill Kennel Club shows earning two more points towards his conformation Championship title.
  • Andrew Campbell + Meg Riordan's Widdershins Momchil MH VC ('Momo') took 4th in Amateur Gun Dog at the Old Dominion Vizsla Club trial and then 2nd in Amateur Gun Dog at the Conestoga Vizsla Club trial.  These were his second and third trials ever.

December 18, 2010
  • Dan + Amanda Tortora's Red River Listen to the Music ('Lyric') won his first 3-pt Major as 'Winners Dog' at the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club show in Allentown, PA.  Lyric now has 7pts towards his conformation Championship.

  • At the PANE Hunt Test at Flaherty Field, Dan + Amanda Tortora's Red River Listen to the Music ('Lyric') successfully completed the fourth and final leg of his Senior Hunter title.

September 25, 2010
  • John DeSantis and Widdershins DiOsa Luna ('Luna'), and Julie Smith with mother and daughter, Widdershins Skypoint Echo ('Lucy) and Widdershins Skypoint Capo ('Capo'), all successfully completed the final legs of their Junior Hunter titles at the Northern New England Brittany Club hunt test at Sharpe's Farm.

September 11, 2010
  • Two years after being shot in a hunting accident, and a week after surgery to help him further recover from that accident, Mike & Kim Barry's Forest King Mad Cedar ('Cedar') completed the fourth and final leg of his Senior Hunter title at the Vizsla Club of Central New England hunt test.

August 2010
  • On August 14th, Mike + Kim Barry's Widdershins Flyin' Kyler SH finished her third and final Obedience leg to complete the requirements for her Versatility Certificate.
  • On August 8th, Megan Means was able to celebrate a grandmother + grandson win at the VCCNE Specialty hosted by the Cheshire Kennel Club in Keene, NH.  Her kennel's foundation bitch, CH Shannon's Sequel to Standing-O ('Tess') and Tess's grandson, CH Standing-O Red Mood Rising ('Killian'), both won 3pts towards their Grand Champion titles as Select Bitch and Select Dog
  • On August 8th, Julie Smith handled Widdershins Skypoint Capo ('Capo') to a Best in Sweeps win at the VCCNE Specialty; Capo was bred and is co-owned by Julie and Wendy + Chris Russell.

June 5, 2010
  • At the Ladies Dog Club show in Wrentham, MA, Dan + Amanda Tortora's Red River's Listen to the Music ('Lyric') took Best of Winners, giving him a total of 4 points towards his conformation Championship title!

  • At the Mayflower GSP Club Hunt Test, Andrew Campbell + Meg Riordan's Widdershins Momchil MH VC ('Momo') earned his fifth and final leg towards his Master Hunter title.  Thanks go to all the judges who watched him run and saw all the great things about this dog. Momo is their first pointing dog and the title a credit to his breeders, Chris + Wendy Russell.

April 2010
  • At the Connecticut Valley Vizla Club's Spring Field Trial, Kim Barry handled Widdershins Flyin' Kyler ('Kyler') from a horse for the first time and took 3rd in the Amateur Gun Dog Stake.  In only his second trial, John DeSantis won the Amateur Walking Puppy Stake (and the Saul Himmelfarb Memorial Trophy) with his Widdershins DiOsa Luna ('Luna').  Congratulations to both of them!

October 2009
  • After qualifying in September, Mike and Kim Barry's Forestking Upland Tsunami ('Rogue') is having a glorious fall in the midwest preparing for Nationals.  Most recently, she won both the Open Puppy and Open Derby stakes at the Miami Valley Vizsla Club Field Trial at the Tri-Valley Wildlife Area in Dresden, OH.

September 2009
  • After a strong debut this spring, Forest King Upland Tsunami (‘Rogue’) took 4th place in her first Open Derby stake at the Hudson Valley Brittany Club trial over Labor Day weekend up in Oxford, NY.  She is a credit to her mother, father, and her breeders/owners, Mike & Kim Barry.

August 1, 2009
  • At the VCCNE Versatility Day at Sharpe’s Farm, both Chris & Wendy Russell’s Widdershins Thrill Seeker JH (‘Seeker’) and Andrew Campbell & Meg Riordan’s Widdershins Momchil SH (‘Momo’) completed the requirements for their Versatility Certificates.  Momo is especially glad he doesn’t have to sit still for three-minutes at a time any more.

  • The VCCNE maintained a strong showing at the Connecticut Valley Vizsla Club Hunting Dog Championships.  Mike & Kim Barry’s Widdershins Flyin Kyler had an awesome run and won the Hunting Dog Excellent stake; Andrew Campbell & Meg Riordan’s Widdershins Momchil (‘Momo’) was awarded a Judges’ Award of Merit in the same stake; and, Forest King Upland Tsunami (‘Rogue’) was awarded a Judges’ Award of Merit in the Hunting Dog Stake.
